How To Wear Your Clothes All Year!

5 Sep

Fall is right around the corner, and I could not be more excited. Sweat shirts, bonfires, s’mores, crunchy leaves… this season definitely has my heart.

But take it from a girl who is broke 99% of the time, when the seasons change life can get a little stressful. But it doesn’t have to be – did you know that you can wear your clothes year round? (yes, even those sundresses you love so much!)

Here’s How. . .

Step 1: Try to buy solid colored dresses that will go with (almost) anything

I have #1, #2, and #3 hanging in my closet as we speak… and happen to wear them non-stop without feeling too repetitive. Because they’re a solid color, you can easily change them up with shoes & accessories.

step 2: Have fun with funky tights and good shoes

I love flip flops as much as the next girl, but once the weather starts to cool down you’re really going to need to invest in a pair of good flats and at least one pair of boots. This is kind of a no-brainer… keep your feet warm and you’ll be more comfortable!

And while I’m on the subject of keeping warm, there are so many different options when it comes to tights. I personally go to Target more than I should (who doesn’t?) and their tights section is a-mazing. Try out a lace pattern, a bold color, or a thick cotton pair for those especially chilly days! I think it’s really fun shopping around for tights, because it’s a cheap way to dress up that plain dress.

step 3: Accessorize!

This is the fun part – dress up your outfit with a chunky scarf, a pretty pea-coat, or some striking jewelry! You can add whatever you want, and the possibilities are pretty endless.

How do you wear your clothes from season to season? Do you tend to mix and match, or do you like to keep seasonal options seperate? I’d love to hear!
